EQA 1974: Statutory Instruments and Amendments deals with the EQA and all its amendments during the last 40 years up until 2014. The book is essentially a revised and expanded version of an earlier publication (Environmental Quality Act 1974: Then and Now) by the first author published by the Institute for Environmental and Development (LESTARI), UKM in 1997. The format of the earlier publication was, however, substantially revised to include aspects of development and change, the consequences of such transformation on the environment, the EQA 1974 and the amendments to the Principal Act, management and constraints and issues beyond legislation. The book will be useful to students of ecology, environmental studies, forestry, natural sciences, social sciences, geography, education, development studies, law and related courses. It will also come in handy for environmental managers and the public interested in environmental conservation, the natural ecosystems and sustainable development.
